Our commitment to sustainable sourcing
At our Cat & Wickets pubs, we're dedicated to showcasing the finest seasonal produce through our carefully selected team of suppliers. We believe in quality, sustainability, and ethical practices, ensuring that every dish we serve meets the highest standards.
Our Meat:
We proudly partner with Aubrey Allen, a family-run, award-winning meat supplier. They source from high-welfare farms in the UK and Ireland, selecting only the top 1% of grass-fed cattle for our beef, which is ethically sourced and matured for at least 28 days. Our pork is free-range and comes from Jimmy Butler's farm in Suffolk, while our lamb is sourced from the lush pastures of the West Country. Our free-range chicken is sourced from small family-run farms in the West of France, where they are raised outdoors, allowing for slower growth and superior quality.
Our Seafood:
We work with Direct Seafoods to bring you the freshest catch. Whenever possible, we use line-caught fish and ensure that all our seafood adheres to MSC or BAP sustainability standards.
Our Produce:
All our fruit and vegetables come from Kale and Damson, a small, family-run supplier that carefully selects produce from the finest farms across the UK and Europe.
Speciality Products:
We also source specialty items from Suffolk Salami, Jude's Ice Cream, Tracklements, and Savoursmiths, all known for their exceptional quality and commitment to excellence.
By prioritising sustainable and ethical sourcing, we're committed to delivering food that's not only delicious but also responsibly produced.
We are actively partnering with Net Zero Now to calculate our carbon footprint and are committed to reducing it through industry-leading best practices. This collaboration is a vital step in our journey toward sustainability, as we strive to minimise our environmental impact and contribute to a greener future.
